Yea you heard it right. There is a ‘but’ for everything you do. This also applies to parenting. Everybody quickly comments on parenting. They claim that if they were in the parents’ place, they would not have allowed or done it! It’s quite irritating. It’s a bitter statement that parents have to hear now and then throughout their life as a parent.
But the most difficult phase and fearful phase is the parenting in every person’s life. People act on their instincts. Their actions may be wrong or disastrous. Alternatively, they might create a beautiful story. The same applies on parenting.
A newborn is unaware of the financial status, attitude, or even the clothing of their parents. However, humans instinctively start feeding kids with the unwanted values of our lives. We should instead cherish the beauty of their days before they grow into wholesome adults.
A parent who has invested their life for their kid expects the same in return. They forget that it’s not a 9 to 5 salary job where you get something back. A parent who gives all the freedom of life believes they are the best parent ever. They forget that life is not a competition to show whose parents are best.
When parenting goes wrong, even the kids start blaming the parents. We forget that there is no book with written rules to follow step-by-step in parenting. We may be seen as the worst parents. Try to put yourself in their shoes once in a lifetime. You will not say the same.
If there was a book for good parenting, and people followed it, this world would be a fairy world. Stop terming the parenting as good or bad, it’s the instinct which makes us who we are. Whatever is your status, your parents are trying hard to be a role model to you. It might be a failure, but they are trying it daily to meet upon your expectations! After all they are humans just like others.
